Meetings (Get-Togethers)
South Eastern Area Meetings
These meetings were initiated by the late John Cook some 20 years ago, and always proved popular. When the small church hall at Hook became cramped, a move was made to use the clubhouse of the Surrey SME clubhouse at Mill Lane, Leatherhead, Surrey.
During the last few years of John's illness, a move was made back to the Hook Road where John lived. The next meeting orghanised by Simon Clough is on Saturday October 4th at Hook Church Hall, Hook Road, (North bound side of the A243), close to the 'Ace of Spades' A3 interchange. The meeting starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm. Bring a loco, or bits and pieces. If you have a problem, ask the 'expert' !
Midland Area Meetings
In 2007, Brian Butler organised a meeting in Birmingham, and it proved very successful. Another meeting has been arranged for Saturday 11th October at St Francis Church Hall, Sycamore Road, Bourneville, Birmingham B30 1JR - it is adjacent to Cadbury World which is well signposted around Birmingham.
The meeting begins at 11am and finishes at 3pm. Bring your own lunch, but tea and/or coffee will be available.
