Pretend Camp - 6th June 2000

As part of the Misbourne Hills Millennium Challenge, we held a 'pretend' camp. We loved playing in the 'tents' and these are some of the photos...

Pond Dipping - 20th June 2000

p2000_20.jpg (130449 bytes)We went Pond Dipping with Wycombe Park Rangers. 

p2000_15.jpg (116673 bytes) We had a great time scooping the nets just under the surface of the water.

p2000_16.jpg (120970 bytes)We then lifted the nets out of the water....

p2000_19.jpg (125567 bytes).... and carefully transferred the contents of our nets into white trays filled with pond water.

p2000_17.jpg (127717 bytes)We found Water Boatmen, Pond Skaters, two different types of Dragon Fly nymphs, Water Snails, Newtlets (baby Newts) and one of the older girls found a Frog.
