Rainbow Pencil Tops

This craft is quite intensive on preparation and adult supervision, but the rainbows I made them with all enjoyed it and were thrilled with the results - if a bit sticky! 

For each pencil you will need:

Hole-punch
Scissors
White PVA glue or UHU glue (UHU is quicker but is
solvent based)
1 pencil
1 cotton ball, white or skin toned
Knitting yarn, in hair colours
Thin card, in skin colour
Thin card for tabard
1 pair goggle eyes
Paper or card scraps for nose and mouth
Small round green stickers

Preparation

1. Cut out the pieces for the tabard, pocket and arms from card.

2. Punch 'dots' from paper scraps, for noses and mouths, using the hole-punch.

3. For hair, wind yarn around your hand until you have a small bundle. Tie tightly in the middle and trim the ends.
