Renault Histoire and Collection announced at this year's prizegiving the programme for 2008.Three UK events are to count for prize points. They are the French Blue event at Prescott 24/25th May, Silverstone 7/8th June 2008, and Bromley Motor pageant 15th June. It has previously been possible to gain 30 points per event with a pre 1945 car by attending for one day at each event even when the event itself may be more than one day. This means it can be possible to gain points without expensive overnight stops. So assuming the points system stays as this year it is possible to attain the 90 points needed for a Gold ( albeit plastic) trophy by going to these three UK based venues for one day at each.

If members want to have a go they will need to register with Histoire and collection probably before the winter gathering. Details will be forwarded as soon as they are available. H and C in the past have been very strict with allocation of points only to those registered.

Prizes are presented at a party in Paris usually in december but also there are a nice selection of goodies on the day of each event and entry is free for pre 1945 cars. Entry with more recent cars at a small charge gives rise to fewer points which would mean attending more events, to achieve the required points, and these other events will all be on the continent. There are also Silver and Bronze prizes to attain with fewer points.
