These details have been amended, and are correct as of 22nd April 2011. The postage & packing charges have been updated to reflect changes to Royal Mail postage rates, and are correct for the foreseeable future;

Ordering Future Releases
You can Reserve up to 6 future wagons, by e-mail, by letter or by telephone. Let us know which of our forthcoming wagons you would like to purchase and we will put them aside for you once they arrive.
We welcome you sending us a cheque ahead of the new releases being delivered to us; This helps us send out your order quicker, and ensures you are allocated popular wagons before stocks run short. Early payment cheques will not be cashed until the first of the new stock you’ve requested has arrived.
UK customers; we do expect you to pay for any wagons you have reserved within three weeks of the scheduled release date. We will endeavour to ‘shout’ if there is any risk of your allocation being returned to stock, but only by e-mail.
Payments
Payment in full secures delivery, subject to the stock remaining available. Cash or Cheques only.
Cheques, in £GBP, to “B & H Harding” please.
We do not recommend sending cash through the post: please contact us in advance if you intend to do so.
We accept cash or cheques when you purchase wagons at a model railway exhibition.
The charges for establishing ourselves with a credit card facility are prohibitive, and we have no plans to introduce this option. Payment through Paypal is now available for overseas customers, and for UK customers with orders over £50.00: e-mail us with your order and a request to pay via Paypal, and we will process orders individually [Note: there is a small additional charge for this option, to cover PayPal fees]. Payments can also be made by on-line bank-to-bank (BACS) transfer; again, please call or e-mail us to arrange the details.

Despatch:
We endeavour to despatch all orders within 7 days.
However, Wessex Wagons fits in around our jobs and domestic commitments so please
allow up to 21 days for delivery.
We now use strong, lightweight postal boxes, to protect
your wagons in transit.
Our postage and packing costs include Royal Mail’s direct
charges plus the costs of lightweight postal boxes and other packing materials.
We believe our P&P charges compare most favourably with the average P&P
rates charged for model railway wagons offered on eBay.
All standard UK orders are despatched using the Royal Mail
2nd class small packet rates. We strongly support our village Post
Office, which has limited hours and a single, busy postmistress! We always retain
a receipt of posting.
All standard orders to Europe and Worldwide are dispatched
using the Royal Mail Air Mail service for small packets. Again, we always
retain a receipt of posting.
Assurance:
We believe that Royal Mail offers a reasonably secure
service. Wessex Wagons cannot be held liable for orders that do not appear
to reach their destination when we have despatched the goods in good order and
with proof of posting. We will, however, endeavour to obtain compensation
on behalf of each customer, in line with Royal Mail’s compensation terms.
Royal Mail has detailed terms
and conditions of carriage, and they offer only a modest level of compensation
should a package not reach its destination. Visit www.royalmail.com for details of all Royal
Mail services, for the UK and overseas.
To ensure that the value of the packets we send does not
exceed the possible compensation offered by Royal Mail, we will always split
orders for 5 or more wagons into two or more separate packages. We have
adjusted our P&P rates to reflect the slightly higher costs involved.
As an alternative, we do offer to despatch orders using
the Royal Mail’s premium services, ‘Special Deliverytm Next Day’ or, for our overseas
customers, ‘Airsure®’. Packages sent using these
services receive priority handling, and are electronically tracked. Also,
compensation levels will cover the full replacement value of our products.
Rates for P&P using these premium services are given above, or available from ourselves. If you would
like us to send your wagons using these services, please let us know when you
place your order.
