Seven Sisters

15-16 June

One of the Ford supplied Goodyear British Off Road Championship safety vehicles

Round 2 takes us back to an old favourite.  The ex-open cast coal mine near Glyn-Neath in South Wales has a bit of everything.  From rocky climbs to fast smooth gravel track, with river crossings and a few scary descents.

If ever there was a venue to sort out the favourites from the also-rans then this is the one.

Significantly more land has become available over the winter so there is plenty of choice, and the event will be quite different to previous years!

How to get there

The event is situated on the A4109 between Glyn-Neath and AberCraf  and will be clearly signposted from this road.

First car starts at 1000 on Saturday and the event finishes with prize giving at around 1600 on Sunday afternoon.

Where to stay

  • Some camping is available on site.  There will be toilets, but there is no drinking water supplies on the site itself so make sure that you bring plenty.

  • The ground itself is stony and rocky (as you would expect from an ex-open cast coal mine) so if you are bringing a tent you might want to consider an extra groundsheet and a mattress of some sort!

  • There are plenty of B&Bs and inns in the local vicinity as the site is on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park.  Try www.brecon-beacons.com for more information.

Local Amenities

  • There are good supermarkets and local stores in both Glynneath and Ystradgynnlais.

  • Fuel is available in Gynneath and Ystradgynnlais every day.
