Simon Dowdeswell was one of the first to commit to the Goodyear British Off Road Championship and has spent the past year getting used to the control tyre for the championship, the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R.

His well prepared Land Rover 90 underwent a substantial lightening programme for the 2001 season, and Simon has used the few events that there were to good effect as a practice and a shakedown of the vehicle for the 2002 season.

Let's make no bones about this, this guy is serious about winning the 2002 Goodyear British Off Road Championship modified production class, and with the backing of well known Land Rover specialist Tim Fry he will be in a good position to challenge for the honours.

He is no mean contender either in past years he has both won and been runner up in the modified production class of the British Off Road Championships.

Simon a GP from Gloucestershire has teamed up with another local doctor, Kieron Bhargava as his navigator.
