Competitor Profile
B10 Team Eggington

Driver:  David Eggington

Co-Driver: Mike Pack

David Eggington in Radnor Forest Photo: Heike Lowenstein/peoplespaces.co.ukWith twenty five years of off roading experience behind him, David Eggington, together with co-driver Mike Pack have shown flashes of brilliance in the last couple of years, but have, so far, lacked the consistency for a real crack at the overall Goodyear British Off Road Championship title.

On paper at least, the package looks good, David is a quick driver and the car has shown considerable promise.

David should be in a good position to challenge the front runners. He has the advantage of a whole Goodyear British Off Road Championship season behind him, not only learning the venues, but the behaviour characteristics of Goodyear’s Wrangler MT/R control tyre.

2002 was a frustating season for Team Eggington. Engine management problems dogged his supercharged Jaguar powered Simmbugghini in the early rounds and a series of driver errors put paid to any really high scoring results and David ended the season languishing in a disappointing eleventh overall.

David’s pace is not in question, he was mixing it amongst the podium places a handful of times in 2002 before problems struck. Indeed he was even leading the hard fought Hillrally (www.hillrally.com) last October, before an off saw to his chances.

This team is capable of much better results in 2003 and if they can show a greater degree of consistency then David and team could prove to be very strong contenders in 2003.
