Driver:  Alec Lofthouse

Already Alec has shown that he has lost none of his driving prowess and that the vehicle is a worthy successor to his earlier Land Rover based efforts.

Alec scored an impressive first overall at the pilot event for the 4x4 World Championship in 2001, which combined trials with competitive safaris. But it is at "comps" that Alec excels and after a difficult start to his Goodyear British Off Road Championship season, Alec showed what he was capable of with a blinding third overall at the Scottish round. Clearly the Scottish moorland terrain suited Alec’s driving style, because his third overall came despite losing a wheel on one of the laps.

For 2003 Alec is moving up a class by replacing his 3.9 litre engine with a 4.6 in an attempt to harrass the front runners even further.
