Driver:  Tim Marsh

Tim Marh emerges from the undergrowth with his supercharged TMC in Radnor Forest Photo: Heike Lowenstein/peoplespaces.co.ukA former British champion himself and a very capable driver and engineer. Let down by inconsistency after a period away from the sport in 2003, but returns in 2004 as a formidable opponent.

Unfortunately a major accident wrote off his chances to challenge for victory in the opening round, but some long hours in the workshop saw the vehicle totally rebuilt in time for round two at Ellesmere. Unfortunately gremlins struck at the event with Tim suffering engine problems and a fire. Tim still managed a tenth overall, but by his own high standards this was still disappointing.

His luck has got no better since Ellesmere either. Gearbox failure mere miles into the Scottish Hillrally a fortnight ago should have written off Tim’s chances of making the Scottish BORC event, but made it he did and he battled for the lead throughout the weekend, taking some very handy points for third on day one.  Unfortunately gremlins struck again on day 2 with further gearbox woes, which might have robbed him of his last chance at glory this year.

Don't ever write this guy off though, no matter what bad luck is thrown at him he seems to bounce back stronger than ever.  He still has the pace to win, he showed that again in Scotland and when his reliability returns he is a potential Kershaw beater!
