In recent year’s former MSA British Off Road Champion and National Hillrally Champion, Gordon Monaghan has concentrated his efforts on the French national off road championship, only making occasional appearances at Northern Off Road Club events.

In 2002 Gordon made a surprise appearnce at the Hillrally and promptly reminded everyone why he is a former British Champion by almost winning the event in his new self-built racer.

Gordon’s new vehicle takes many design cues from the sort of vehicles that are regualrly seen on French events, but does so in a style that is inimitably British. The bodywork of Gordon’s car is reminiscent of the British built Ford Gp B rally car the RS200, but underneath the vehicle differs hugely.

Long travel indepedent suspension, holds a high-revving 3.0 litre BMW M3 engine which is attached to a six speed sequential gearbox. This is one impressive and spectacular piece of kit!
