2002 Modified Production class champion, Tony Walmsley makes a welcome, if unexpected, return to the championship for 2004. The car has had a complete rebuild to keep it ahead of the competition and ahead its ever more rapid rivals from Japan.

Tony Walmsley claimed that he was treating the 2002 season as a learning year, but following a string of strong results he finished the year at the head of the field, winning the highly competitive modified (now Super) production class with his Land Rover Defender 90.

With a new vehicle for the 2002 season Tony reckoned that it would take him time to adjust and fine tune his new vehicle, but despite strong class opposition Tony found himself right in the thick of the action.

Now with the development year out of the way and a further championship under his belt Tony will be concentrating on the double in 2004.  Strong rivals in the form of Steven Smith may well keep him from that though!
