John Cockburn makes a splash in Scotland Photo: Paul Bentley/cautionovercrest.comFor the first time this year Richard Kershaw looked like he might really have been worried by the pace of his rivals at round 3 of the Goodyear British Off Road Championship at Castle O'er.

Richard was uncharacteristically slow starting on Saturday but bounced back to take the aggregated win for the weekend.

John Cockburn pushed Kershaw all the way and took home maximum points from Saturday, but missed out on the weekend result by just thirteen seconds.

Tim Marsh's challenge came, once more, to a frustrating end with gearbox failure on his third run of Sunday after a terrific battle that saw him lead on more than one occasion during the weekend.

Colin Read looked set to get the production class Mitsubishi Shogun Warrior into the top five, until a small off demoted him to eighth on his final run. Glen McKeith with the production class Defender 90 took the opportunity to sneak in front of Colin for seventh.

In the Super Production class, leader Steven Smith suffered a roll on Saturday, and was unable to claw the time back from rival Tony Walmsley to win.
