27th Anniversary Relay Run, 18th June 2011 at Thornton Reservoir 2011 is the Club's 27th year. We celebrated the anniversary with a 12-hour relay run around Thornton Reservoir. We beat last year's figures both in terms of distance run and money raised for our chosen charity - LOROS. These proceeds were from a Guess-the-Total Distance Run competition and from donations. Altogether, at 22nd June, we have raised £440.32 - £45 more than we had at the same point last year. We hope that with further donations we can top £500. Competition winner: G Dunn who was on the guess list collected by Phil Chritchlow. Her prize is a £25 Amazon voucher. Two people came nearest with guesses of 89.4 miles against the actual 89.41 miles run - and the committee drew the winner from a hat. The Relay is our annual special effort in aid of a good cause. Thanks to the 32 runners who took part, to all who helped.
