Private moorings at Crick Wharf: Berths are in an offline basin, the extremities of which are guarded by two residential narrowboats (whose owners work at the Wharf). The basin's dimensions limit private berths to narrowboats of between 40ft and 45ft length. Each berth is served by a two-metre stub jetty - boats are moored bow or stern in, with the other end swinging free - so that adjacent craft can manoeuvre more easily within the basin's confines. (This arrangement has worked successfully over the years). Private berths are provided with 240-volt supply posts, night-lit walkways and a water point. British Waterways maintains a disposal station for chemical wcs at the wharf. Pump-out facilities and dry dock are available in Crick Marina - just 500 yards distant. Mooring rates: £7.15 per foot per quarter plus VAT (£8.40 inc VAT), or £26.70 per foot per annum (£31.37 inc VAT). The minimum chargeable length for boats taken on after April 2005 is 40ft. Moorings are for leisure use - we rarely have a residential mooring available. Availability: Please contact us if you are interested in the nextberth to come available (turnover averages one or two a year). |
