Astronomy at Durltson Country Park

Durlston Country Park is located just south of Swanage in Dorset. The Astronomy Centre consists of a telescope housed in its own observatory, together with supporting facilities for talks and lectures in the close-by Visitor Centre. It is supported by the Ranger staff at the Country Park and by members of the Wessex Astronomical Society.

The next public "Astronomy at Durlston" Event will be on Wednesday 19th November 2008 commencing 7.30pm with an illustrated talk then observing Leonid meteors, Galaxies, Star Clusters and Autmn/Winter constellations - (Weather Permitting). Phone 01929 422961 between 4 and 6.30pm, or 01929 424443 between 4 and 5.30pm on the day if the weather is doubtful. The backup will be the following day.
