Vietnam School Expedition The club voted £150 towards the expenses of a young man on an educational expedition to Vietnam.

November 2006


Citizens Advice Bureau The club voted £200 towards the cost of a new photocopier.

July 2006


Girl Guides The club voted £150 to 1st Radley Guides.

June 2006


Edwards' Trust The club voted a further £150 to Edwards' Trust who provide help for families.

May 2006


Carswell School The club voted the sum of £186.50 to enable a needy child to attend an after school club at Carswell School.

February 2006


Residential Course The club approved a contribution of £150 to enable a young girl to go on a residential course.
Santa Grotto The club voted £100 to the Nasio Trust in recognition of their help with the Santa Grottoat Millet's Farm.
Nasio Trust The club approved a further donation of £650 to the Nasio Trust.
Football The club voted £225 to Saxton Rovers (Youth) Football Club.
Malthouse Surgery The club voted to purchase a special chair for the Malthouse Surgery for £520. Last year the Surgery gave the club several old computers which were refurbished by Lion Steve Stephens and subsequently sold for £520.

January 2006


Christmas Float Abingdon Lions received assistance from several other organisations in manning the Christmas Float and at Millet's Farm. Consequently we are pleased to make the following donations in recognition of that help: Abingdon Round Table £415, NSPCC £150, Radley Youth Football Club £75, Riverside Pre-School £105, Caldecott School £200, St Helens Church £235, M Thomas £65, John Mason School £145, Thomas Reade School £150, a total of £1540. We thank you all very much.
