Trina's birthday party - June 2008 |
This was the first public performance of our new dance. It's actually an old dance which has been tweaked slightly in order to fit Talitha's song called 'Wheeling Island Girls' (which you can listen to here and download from here for £0.79). Talitha is singing live to a backing track while the rest of us are dancing. The steps will eventually be uploaded to the wiki when we've written them up. The lighting isn't the best - but it was a party after all! Video © Trina McKendrick |

'Old Joe Clark' - Melody's workshop, Eddlestone - March 2007 |
Melody taught us another dance over a few workshops and this is it. It is danced to the tune 'Old Joe Clark', but we have also called it the 'Farewell Dance' because Melody, Matt and little Jimmy are soon heading off to pastures new in France. Video © Trina McKendrick |

Melody's 'Choreographed Routine' workshop, Eddlestone - November 2006 |
This is the routine that was taught to us by Melody Lovell on the morning of 4th November 2006. We think we all did really well to learn a few new steps (more for those who were novices!) and to complete the dance in 1½ hours. Video © Trina McKendrick |

Linlithgow Folk Festival - September 2006 |
This is what everyone who attended the workshop was able to achieve after an hour of teaching - a dance called Dead Easy (written by Charlotte Moon). Well done to all!! And yes, it was a very warm day! Video © Trina McKendrick |

After the workshop we did a quick demonstration. The dance is called the Matlock Steps and is danced to a tune called Citigo/Laughing Boy (although some of the tune is missing as we have edited the music to fit the dance). The 'bat-eared' amongst you will hear that it's the tune we used for the workshop dance! Video © Trina McKendrick |
