How We Can Help you

If you are:

and you want to keep up to date with the local news in Reading, then you can benefit from our weekly news tape. If you live in the Reading area or the UK and are connected with or interested in Reading, you are eligible to receive The Reading's Talking Newspaper on audio-cassette, every week.

The newspaper contains 45 minutes of local news items from the Reading Evening Post & Reading Chronicle plus 45 minutes of features and other articles. The service costs nothing to the listener. The tapes are FREE, including postage.

The talking newspaper tapes are sent out each Friday by post, and usually arrive with the listener on Saturday morning. You then have the weekend to listen to the tape. Listeners are asked to put the tapes back in the post on the following week so they will arrive back in good time ready for wiping clean and re-recording the next week's news. Again, there is no charge to the listener for postage.

What you need

All you need is an ordinary cassette player but a Walkman or hi-fi cassette deck is just as good. If you don't have the necessary equipment we can advise you on what to get.
