HISTORY
| The Weymouth Cine Club was started by a group of amateur cine photographers in February 1958. The initial meetings were held in Scout Hall in Preston Weymouth, the Club moved premises several times and in later years have met at the Welworthy Social Club. The Welworthy Club has ideal function room facilities to meet the Club needs. The Membership for the 2004/5 season was 45, and the club averages about 30 members per meeting. Ages range from 20 to 80+. It is recognized that younger members have greater enthusiasm and than some of the elders of the club, new members would be made welcome so that their ideas could be developed. New Members with any related skills to film making would also be made welcome to Direct, Act, write suitable film script or participate in other peoples films. |
