Sunday 8 November is Remembrance Sunday, the day on which we remember before God those who died in the world wars of the 20th century and in present day conflicts. We think also of those in Her Majesty's armed forces who are fighting and defending our freedom in many parts of the world. The 10.30 am service at St Botolph's will include the Act of Remembrance and two minutes' silence. Special giving this month goes to support the work of the Royal British Legion, so the open offering at this service will go to that cause. Please be generous.
After the service in church, we go to the War Memorial in Chipstead for the Act of Remembrance and two minutes' silence there at 12.00 noon
Christian-based performances, plenty of fun, laughter and entertainment at The Stag Theatre — fun for children too. Tickets £2.50, performances at 6.30 and 9.00 pm.
