SIZE and PORTION GUIDE
The most popular shapes we make are heart, round, square, petal, hexagon and oval. Other shapes are available so please ask if you prefer something different.
The above shapes come in 8 inch, 10 inch and 12 sizes. The round and square are also available in 6 inch.
When cutting your cake, caterers would normally serve a rich fruit cake in a 1 inch x 1 inch finger slice. Any type of sponge would typically be cut into a 2 inch x 1 inch slice. This means that you get about half the number of portions from a sponge than from a fruit cake.
The following chart gives the approximate number of portions available from each mixture. It is intended to be used only as a guide.
