A plot of land had been bought by June 1872 and plans for this chapel were afoot in July 1872. The foundation stones were laid on Monday 19 May 1873. It was estimated to seat 120 worshippers and was built for about £500. The builders were Messrs Powell and Rogers of Prees. The commemorative stone contains the inscription "WESLEYAN CHAPEL ERECTED AD 1873". The chapel closed in September 2014 and in January 2015 its furniture was put up for auction. The building was de-registered as a place of worship in March 2016 & in October 2016 the building was put up for sale.
