![]() This chapel, still in use in 2020, was built in 1902-3 at a total cost of about £1200. The chapel was designed by Mr George Harris and built by Mr T. Pace of Shrewsbury. The foundation stones were laid on the 20th November 1902 & the chapel opened on the 28th May 1903 to replace the former chapel which it stands next to. The old chapel was built in 1836 and in 1851 had 23 worshippers at their afternoon service and 17 at their evening one, plus 11 Sunday scholars in the morning. The chapel was substantially altered in 1868, and is now used as a meeting room and Sunday school. There is a small burial ground at the side of the earlier building. Grid ref: SJ472198 |
