Ellerdine Heath Wesleyan Methodist Chapel Ellerdine Heath Wesleyan Methodist Chapel
This brick-built chapel, known as "Emmanuel", was opened on 28th March 1813. Three years later they installed a gallery. In 1851 it had 60 free sittings and 96 others. It had a congregation of 53 at its morning service and 51 at its afternoon service on Census Sunday in 1851, as well as 53 Sunday scholars. The chapel was registered for the solemnization of marriages on 21st August 1891. In the late 1960s the congregation was joined by the Methodists from Bethel chapel when it closed. The chapel is still in use in 2016, well maintained, and with a manse attached.
