[former] Hadnall Independent (Congregational) Chapel [former] Hadnall Independent (Congregational) Chapel
This is a view of some stonework which formed part of the wall of the chapel, which was uncovered during clearance of the site in 2010. An elderly local lady remembered the chapel as being small, built of large blocks of Grinshill stone, with a heavy porch on the front with a door which opened outwards and was lined with green baize. There were two long narrow windows either side of the porch It rather resembles the chapel at Harmer Hill q.v. and matches it well for date. The lady did not remember it ever being in use, which puts the date of its demise as round about World War II.
