The first Primitive Methodist chapel here was erected in 1838. In 1851 it was said to have 90 sittings. There was an attendance of 90 worshippers at their evening service on Census Sunday in March 1851. A new Primitive Methodist chapel was built here in 1877, which opened on Sunday October 21st 1877. The builders of the chapel were Messrs B. & W, Weale of Ludlow. The chapel buildilng can no longer be seen.
