[former] Wettles Primitive Methodist Chapel, Leamore Common, Wistanstow
There were two Methodist Chapels in Leamore Common, this is the Primitive Methodist chapel. This chapel's foundations stones were laid on Monday 13th October 1862. Its date of closure is not yet known but it was still in use in 1907. The chapel & adjoining cottage were subsequently sold and have now been demolished. The site was empty in 2005, only the front brick wall remaining. However, click here here for another view of the chapel while it was still standing, after the cottage had been demolished. There was also another chapel at Leamore Common, a Wesleyan Methodist one, which was in existence before 1862.
