SHROPSHIRE'S NONCONFORMIST CHAPELS

Ænon Baptist Chapel, Maesbrook Ucha Ænon Baptist Chapel, Maesbrook
Ænon Baptist Chapel was erected in 1844. In the 1851 Religious Census the chapel was reported to have seating for 87 worshippers. There were 35 at their afternoon service and 43 at the evening service. Due to loss of membership, the chapel closed in 1976 and was demolished. The village hall now occupies part of the site. Unfortunately I do not have a photograph of this chapel, but the old map shows where it was.
