SHROPSHIRE'S NONCONFORMIST CHAPELS

[former] Pant Congregational Chapel [former] Pant Congregational Chapel
This chapel was built in 1907 for the Congregationalists on the main road through Pant. The foundation stones were laid on Thursday 16th May 1907. The commemorative stone reads "CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH 1907". It presumably replaced the earlier chapel built down by the railway station. The building had a room or rooms below the chapel. In modern times the congregation joined the United Reformed Church. By October 2006 the chapel had closed and was up for sale and under offer. It was subsequently converted to residential use and was put up for sale in 2016. The building was de-registered as a place of worship in October 2016.
