SHROPSHIRE'S NONCONFORMIST CHAPELS

[former] Peaton Strand Primitive Methodist Chapel [former] Peaton Strand Primitive Methodist Chapel
Alas, this chapel is no more! All that remains is the low front wall & railings, the iron gate and part of the flank wall. The chapel was built of polychrome brick. The chapel celebrated its centenary in 1973, so it must have opened in 1873. The chapel closed in April 1985. For a photograph of the chapel before it was demolished, click here.
I have now been lent a photograph of the congregation emerging after the last harvest festival in 1984.
