[former] Primrose Bank Primitive Methodist Chapel [former] Primrose Bank Primitive Methodist Chapel
Alas, this chapel has been demolished. However, someone thought fit to commemorate its existence with a plaque (containing an incorrect date of opening). Local Primitive Methodists laboured for over 30 years before being able to buy a plot of land on which to build a chapel. The chapel was built at a cost of 110 in 1860 and the opening service was held on 30th December of that year. The chapel was 27 feet long and 19 feet wide. It closed in 1953. When I obtain a photograph of the chapel as it was when it was standing, I'll put it up here, together with some historical notes. Grid ref: SO 545893
