[former] Great Soudley Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, parish of Cheswardine
This charming little chapel was built in 1837 on land given by John Butterton. In 1851 there was seating for about 66 worshippers. There were between 20 & 30 attenders at their two Sunday services, and between 40 and 50 children at their Sunday School. The chapel was still in use in 2005 but seems to have closed in or just after 2006. For a view of the unusual datestone, click here.
