Upper Netchwood Wesleyan Methodist Chapel
[former] Upper Netchwood Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Ditton Priors

There was a Wesleyan congregation meeting in Netchwood in 1851 with 30 worshippers at their morning service and ten at the evening service. This Wesleyan chapel, which by c. 2002 was totally derelict and in very poor condition, was erected in 1861. The chapel closed between 1940 and 1955. The situation has improved a little, for a more recent photograph (March 2005) click here. For a view of the datestone, click here. Before the chapel was built, the congregation met in a private house. There is no burial ground attached.
