Apple Day

Our main open day of the year is Apple Day held in early October in advance of National Apple Day. It is over 25 years since our first Apple Day and it has grown into a major event now.

On Apple Day there are exhibitions, guided walks around the orchard, apple display of all our varieties with tasting of over 30, apple juice making and produce for sale apples, pears, juices, honey, apple cakes and pies and more. There are also children's games and a quiz to make it a day out for all the family. Entrance and car parking are free.

Our Apple Day this year will be on Sunday 13 October 2013. Thank you to all of you who came and enjoyed the day last year.

Spring Open Day

Often in the Spring, Cross Lanes opens the gates to invite people to enjoy the wonderful apple blossom. The day is held in aid of a local charity. This is a day to wander round and see the orchard at its best, full of expectation of the crop to come. Fixing a date is always tricky with full bloom having varied from 19 April to 23 May with an average around 6th May. Find date at 'Click here for latest news' on welcome page.
