We still call Caversham `The Village`, although it is now a district of Reading. However many people who live here, feel they have come home as they cross over the bridge, and glance affectionately down at the swans beside the waterfront.
But that bridge has always played an important role in the relationship between our larger neighbour Reading and the village of Caversham.
