The Story of the Drechsler and Peczenik Families

This is the story of Ernie Drechsler and his wife Lora Peczenik, who left Austria in 1939, as the Nazis brutally subjected the Jewish race to a horrific regime of cruelty and barbarism.

During his lifetime, Ernie intended on several occasions to put down the facts about the treatment meted out to Lora`s family in particular. This was never achieved, due to the constant pressure of household duties, and through a shrinking away from having to relive those terrible times. I hope I have done justice to his intentions, 16 years after their deaths, using documents stored by them over a period of eighty years.
