Family Histories

Marilyn Wooldridge of Wokingham writes:

Having been born and bred in Caversham and a resident until marriage in 1965, I still keep in touch through in-laws and friends. As a Family Historian I have traced my family back to the late 1700`s.
JOHN CHAMPION was a blacksmith mentioned in Caversham`s 1821 census and Caversham Parish Registers (Little End, Prospect St).

Recently I find I am connected with the well-known Caversham family of BERRY who were harness and saddle-makers of BERRY CORNER, Church St., Caversham, and with HOLLIS, yeoman farmers of CANE END,near Caversham, then Oxfordshire. The HOLLIS family moved to CHARVILLE FARM, TWYFORD, BERKS from Caversham in the mid-1800`s.

I should be most grateful for anyone who is connected with the family of BERRY and HOLLIS or who can add any information for me to extend my Family Tree, to contact me via this web-site:

Many thanks.
