Become a Volunteer

If you are looking for interesting voluntary work in pleasant sociable surroundings, why not consider joining our team of volunteers? We work from our own studio at Weybridge Hospital, in the middle of the town.

The duties include writing the weekly script, selecting items from the newspapers, recording the tapes, making high-speed bulk copies for despatch to our listeners and, of course, reading – although we do not normally accept volunteers who only want to read.  We give full on-the-job training and supervision by our more experienced volunteers until you feel completely confident.

Most jobs take two to three hours. You decide how often you can work, and the quarterly rota is made up accordingly.

You may also feel that you can help with our monthly magazine by reading articles or short stories, interviewing interesting people or perhaps contributing stories or reminiscences of your own.
