The Scattered Authors' Society

If you thought the SAS wore balaclavas and parachuted behind enemy lines, you'd be right. But there is another SAS… so secret you won't have heard of it until now. The Scattered Authors' Society, of which I am a member, has been working in secret locations for years, plotting how to bring you ever better and more exciting books to read. We have created a competition for you to enter as well!

Look out for SAS posters in your local library or bookshop or in your school.

The Authors' Choice Competition

To Enter

· Print the competition details from this link

· Choose one of the books from these details and write a review (maximum 200 words).

· Email your review to the address below, making sure you get permission first from a parent or carer. Don't forget to include your name, age, and nearest town or city as well as the name of the book! Put the review in the email itself - don't send it as an attachment, or it might get lost.

· If your review is well written, you could win a book signed by the SAS author of your choice. If it is a really brilliant review, one of us might want to meet you to present your book personally. You must bring an adult with you, and we'll meet somewhere nearby, such as your local bookshop or library. You might even get your picture and review published in the local paper!

· We'll be awarding up to 12 prizes throughout 2003 (closing dates are at the end of each month). You can review as many books as you like - each entry has a chance of winning a prize.

Here is the email address for your entry. Good luck!
