656 Squadron 70th Anniversary
On Friday 7th of June 2013 a celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the formation of 656 Squadron took place at RAF Wattisham in Suffolk. The  current 656 Squadron, by courtesy of the Officer Commanding,  played host to many ex members of the Squadron and their families who are members of the 656 Squadron Association. Happily this coincided with the publication of the first Squadron History " From Auster to Apache" written by Guy Warner. (Published by Pen & Sword Books Ltd).
The Squadron laid on displays of various equipments and Apache aircraft for viewing. Refreshments were also provided. Additionally there was a dinner held in the Officers Mess in the evening and the following morning the Association AGM was held.
