During the period from 1983 to 1987 RAF Marham was in the process of major change. The Victor K1 Tankers had been superseded by the more powerful Victor K2's which were also gradually being replaced by the VC 10 Tankers based elsewhere. The Canberra's had already gone and the new Tornado's of numbers 617 and 27 Squadrons were working up to operational readiness. Meanwhile the number of visiting aircraft increased and routine Royal Flights continued.
The photographs on these pages were taken during my second posting to RAF Marham when I served on the Tornado Servicing Flight.
