'Sleepers, Awake!' was missing the comma in the title. The jig tune 'Drops Of Whisky' should be spelt 'Whiskey' - it's Irish, not Scottish! 'Beneath The Larked Sky' is really titled 'I Was Born A Wanderer' and was written by Malcolm, not Robin. |
| Influences: | 'Everything's Fine Right Now' and the Carter Family's 'Who's That Knocking At My Window'. | |

The Balmore Tapes were most likely recorded between October 1966 and February 1967. Further information on the 'Be Glad For The Song Has No Ending' film, the Royal Festival Hall, London, 30.3.68 sequences, the previously unmentioned snippet of 'Douglas Traherne Harding' and the lost version of 'A Very Cellular Song. The 'Seasons They Change' LP version of 'Queen Juanita And Her Fisherman Lover' is an out-take from the 'I Looked Up' sessions (late 1969/early 1970) rather than 'Changing Horses' as previously suggested. Was the 'Hard Rope And Silken Twine' version of 'Cold Days Of February' recorded at the Rainbow Theatre, London, 12.11.73 or the New Theatre, Oxford, 20.11.73? |
| Influences: |
'Maybe Someday', the melody is possibly Moroccan. 'Puppies' owes more than a nod to Leadbelly's Poor Howard. 'Black Jack Davy' and Kenneth McKellar's 'Road To The Isles'. 'Robot Blues' and Robert Johnson's 'Terraplane Blues' and 'Travelling Riverside Blues'. 'Sandy Land' and lyrical similarities to the traditional 'Sally Ann'. 'Whistle Tune' possibly Peruvian. |

'Every Time I Hear The Sweet Birds Singing' by Tom Paxton, as performed on the Balmore Tapes, is actually called 'Every Time' and is from his 1965 Elektra album 'Ain't That News'. An early version, titled 'Ev'ry Time' was released on his rare 1962 Gaslight album 'I'm The Man Who Built The Bridges'. At least one other song was performed on the 'Once More With Felix' pilot show, Summer/Autumn 1967. Updated information on the sources of all the currently available Woodstock footage. Rename the 'Pantomime Interlude' from the Brighton Dome, 24.2.72 to 'The Worthy Woodcutter, The Wicked Wizard And The Wicked Weasel' as suggested by Raymond Greenoaken.
