Rally report from Ron and Maureen Adams
The site chosen by Steve and Yvonne Jones was very close to
River Thames and was level and all grass. The usual facilities were
available and of a good standard.
A five minute walk got you
over the river into the centre of Lechlade where there was a selection
of shops to meet the basic needs, but with a few specialist shops,
including a Xmas shop. The small market square featured two events
during our stay, Saturday, an Italian Market and Sunday a Food and
Drink Fayre for local producers. The latter had large selection of
stalls and goods, to help expand the waistline.

Monday evening was an American Supper in the marquee followed by the
raffle draw and the results of the rally quiz.
rally was not all about food and drink and there were several
interesting places to visit in the nearby area, including the Source of
the Thames. There were many opportunities for country walks and of
course, riverside walks. The weather was very kind to us and helped
make the rally a memorable success.
This was Steve and Yvonne’s maiden rally and we believe that everyone
present will agree that it was a great success.
added excitement to the rally, one night in the early hours thieves
broke into the site’s secure(!!) caravan storage compound and stole a
large twin axle caravan. They towed it through a fence, through a
hedgerow and across an adjacent field onto the main road.
We were all asleep in our vans about 80 yards from this and heard
