 Fakenham Rally & AGM 2019

28 vans attended the rally, most arriving on a showery Thursday but managing to erect the caravans and put up awnings without getting too wet. As this was the 21st year of the Gobur owners club, Yvonne had arranged that we all got presented with a Carousel pennant to hang in our windows.

Saturday was the AGM meeting, this year held in the Western room, which went smoothly. After this the weather cleared up and was sunny and warm for the remainder of the rally. The usual places of Sherringham, Cromer and Gobur were visited and several of us visited Pensthorpe park which had a special event day on the Sunday.

We had an enjoyable Saturday evening with carvery meal in the sports centre. Richard did his usual entertaining speech and presented the club with a new urn. It was also very nice that he added to our last years raffle money and gave Yvonne a cheque for 1000 for her to give to a charity of her choice.

We all had fun doing the difficult ditloids set by Yvonne and the prize was won by Russel and Pat. Coffee mornings/evenings were well attended and the raffle raised 206. Chris and Dave did an excellent job of supplying drinks and biscuits and a good selection of puddings for the Monday evening dine together.

Another successful AGM rally thanks to the hard work of Chris and Dave and their helpers Keith and Vanessa Thompson.
