It was only a small rally and those of us that were fortunate enough to be there had a wonderful time. We had been there the year before with Joy and Peter so we knew what to expect. Lovely clean and attractive site, excellent toilet and shower facilities and extremely nice owners and wardens. Our hosts Joy and Peter made easy work of everything as per usual and everyone there got on so well and enjoyed each others company
We had a fish and chip night which turned out to be very funny with a game and to top the evening Joy turned out to be a great comedian with her jokes and tales. It was then time for the raffle and surprise, surprise, one of the prizes given by the site owners was a free weekend at the site. How many times does that happen.
On the Monday we had our dinner at a very nice pub. The meal was huge, but we did our best; it was great. As far as the weather was concerned we almost saw all the seasons. It was lovely sunshine most of the time, but quite cold, we didn’t mind that. Then on the Sunday it hailed and everything was covered white. It soon went though. Who cares - we all had such fun. It was a shame to leave. It was nice to have our chairman and his lady wife Kate there too.
All in all, one word describes this rally – SMASHING
