A big thank you to Joyce & Norman Taylor for running the rally at Pickering.
Our first trip this year. We are always a little wary of the weather `up north` but it was great up until the Monday. The site was really nice, clean and with an attractive aspect.
We were in Pickering at the end of last year for National Feast of Lanterns but as anyone familiar with this event knows, you do not leave the site where it is held, so we didn't get to see the surrounding areas. This was put right this time so we visited Scarborough, York, Pickering and Whitby, places we have never been before.
The Saturday evening beetle drive with fish and chips was good fun and the meal on Monday in the local pub was a delicious blow out.
A lovely rally.
