The rally was attended by seventeen vans and we all enjoyed the five days of excellent weather. Angela, Derek and Roy were our hosts with help from David and Christine and they gave us a warm welcome on our arrival and in 'the cabin' on Thursday evening. The rally plans were announced for the five days and new rallyers had a chance to meet 'the regulars'.
On Saturday an 'American Supper' was arranged with the usual piles of food, not an evening for weight watching! In between the feasting a 'Robin Hood' themed game was played based on throwing a dice to see who reached their target of numbers first. This was great fun and we had quite a few laughs with it, invariably losing the dice on the floor! Mary Irvin's raffle winners were announced that evening, earlier than usual as our hosts were 'off site' on Sunday morning, but the quiz results had their usual slot for announcing winners on the Sunday coffee morning.
The Monday evening supper was supplied by Angela, Derek and Roy. The fish/chicken and chips went down well along with the drinks brought along to help it down with. Two anniversaries were being celebrated on the day, one being Derek's birthday for whom we all sung 'happy birthday'. Barbara and Brian Cullen, for their 47th anniverary, brought along a lovely chocolate cake which was enjoyed with great relish.
