I made this improved single piece 2/3/4T points plate, to replace the complex Villiers setup.  It uses off the shelf Ford or Volkswagen points.  The points are exactly 180º apart.  This makes ignition setting far easier than the Villiers system.  
The owners who have tested this conversion have reported smoother running, better starting and far less time fiddling about than the 40+ years old original arrangement.  However for this system to function effectively the various components need to be in good working order, mainly the crankshaft, points cam and outer cover, which should still have the locating dowels fitted.
The kit comes complete with all the parts required to make fitting of this conversion a straightforward operation.
