Barbury Castle Track 'n' Trail 2008 - From left to right, Chris Sykes (2nd), Gary O'Brien (1st) and Andrew Ind (3rd)

A 5 mile trail run for a summers evening. Start and finish at Barbury Castle Country Park which can be found to the south west of Chiseldon. From Junction 15 on the M4 take the A346 to Marlborough until you see the signs for Chiseldon, and then follow the road signs to Barbury Castle.

The race is a scenic, undulating, one lap route of the trails and footpaths around the ancient Iron Age Hillfort of Barbury Castle, touching on the Ridgeway National Trail. Some quite tough hills in places but with equally satisfying descents! The route will be well marked and marshalled and water will be provided at approx half way and at the finish.
